In 40 minutes....

If you'd like a high res version of any of the images taken this evening,  please email me: shirley(at)bittnerdesigns(dot)com

This is Abe. Abe is, well, wired. Wired on life, anything that moves, balls, small balls, big balls, anything that moves! He's a happy dog. He has left his mark on me. Literally. I think he tried the Zorro move but instead tried to spell Abe on my legs. ;-)

Brandy. Enjoying the cooler summer weather. He's a sweet dog and knows which side is his good side. A wonderful poser.

And here's Bryn. "Belly flop" Bryn has a 'go for it' attitude. He just races to the end of the dock and stick or no stick, he's going for it. The form may not be perfect but attitude is everything Bryn...keep having fun buddy!
Daisy. Sweet gentle Daisy. She doesn't even wait for the ball to hit the water, and she's launching herself off the dock. Heck, you probably don't even need to throw a ball, she enjoys the water that much. I'm jealous of those lovely wet crimped curls. Such a beauty!

And Finn you are a dream. Look in to my eyes, do you see what I see?
No really. Look into my eyes.

And here's another Daisy. She charming. Calm. Respectful and ready to swim. I think she had a great time tonight.

And Irwin. Welcome to the park! He's the new kid in town and I am in love. Gentle and sweet, just the way I like them. Hope to see you again Irwin!

I've forgotten this dogs name but I shall call him "Bullet" because he's so freaking fast! I can't lock my lens onto this dog he's racing down the dock and launching so fast. I need to be in a boat, in the river to capture this dog.

Tucker. Love you. I was smothered in kisses. You stole my heart tonight Tucker!!

And you stole Sam's ball too!
Yes zee ear, it is down, but I hear twice as good with the one that is up. True story.

When she's happy. I'm happy.

Monday.

An on-again, off-again relationship.

It's been a long time since I've gone for a ride on this bike (couldn't twist my ankle on/off the pedal). And my butt reminded me of that, even after my short 30k ride. Wow. I'm very out of shape. But nice to see you again bike!

Tika is feeling much better!

Daisy and Indy

It was a long, hot walk.

Without the car this weekend, and Tika only needing very short walks, I knew Sam needed a longer walk (see July 7 photo, he turns into crazy dog). Not a great idea, but we walked to the Glebe hardware store and back. Even tho' I tried to walk him on grass as much as I could, the pavement was still hard on his paws. His paws are OK but best to walk him early in the morning....like, now. ;-) We're off.
This is summer in Ottawa. Tourists enjoying our lovely canal.

Summer treat!

A great treat for Tika. And, freeze cubes of watermelon for a cool, refreshing dog treat. Yummmm.

Fun in the park!

It was a beautiful evening for getting together to stretch, run, and then SHOP! Delilah and Lole teamed up for a great get-together last night at Delilah {in the parc}.

Ok. Maybe she's not quite ready for my sense of humour.

Jul 3, 2012

Us old girls.

We have to stick together! No clue how I did this but while carrying Tika's bed downstairs, I managed to slip, bop, whop, roll and land smack dab on my knee. The rug burn is quite painful, to my surprise. Hit my back, bruised my arm, stubbed my toe and my knee is swollen. Crazy right? I'm bummed since I can't bend the knee which means no photo sessions or workouts for a few days (I hope it's a few days!)

Canada Day Sightings.

With Tika not 100%, I took a quick tour around Major's Hill Park and the market to take a few photos. Not typical Canada Day photos, oh well.

Tika {at the cottage}

Back to the clinic today.

She's doing better but yesterday she had a little reaction to one of the drugs we had given her. Bumps are gone this morning and she's much more alert. Phew!

Jun 28, 2012

Sweet Tika.

Today she's back at the clinic since she's still needing more fluids. Still drooling because she's nauseous and with diarrhea she's not a happy camper. Hoping she feels better later today. Perhaps I'm being sad for no reason but I love this dog more than you know so I really don't care if you think I'm worrying too much. It's hard to see an animal you love in discomfort and unable to figure out what the heck is wrong. It's a big guessing game and terribly upsetting. She's the sweetest, most gentlest dog ever. I'm doing my best to do what I can to help her. I love her.  It's what I do. In the meantime, I guess I'll clean the house.

Cottage Moments

Slight change in plans. Tika became quite ill so we came back home and she's getting lots of lovin' from her favorite doc. I'm sure she'll feel like a million bucks later today. ('cause you're costing me that much Tika girl!! But, you're worth it!!)

Dew West!

Sam was limping on our way to the park yesterday. I look down to see his dew claw heading west. Back to the Vet clinic for the second time yesterday. Once removed, he felt great.

And, even better news, he can still swim. Phew!
